We at Blue Mint Mental Health Services respect your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal health information in compliance with the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA) of Ontario and the professional obligations set out by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).

This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal and health information when you visit our website or use our services.

Information We Collect

We could collect information from you when you register on the site, respond to a survey or communication such as e-mail, or participate in another site feature. We may collect personal health information (“PHI”) that you voluntarily provide, including but not limited to:
• Your name, email address, phone number, or home address
• Health history or clinical information relevant to therapy
• Payment or billing information
• Information shared through contact forms or email

We only collect the minimum information necessary to provide care and operate ethically. You may, however, visit our site anonymously.

How We Use Your Information

Your information may be used to to deliver psychotherapy and counselling services, communicate with you about appointments and resources, fulfill legal, regulatory, or ethical requirements.

  • To personalize your site experience and to allow us to deliver the type of content and product offerings in which you are most interested.

  • To allow us to better service you in responding to your customer service requests. To quickly process your transactions.

  • To administer a survey or other site feature.

  • If you have opted-in to receive our email newsletter, we will send you educational and marketing emails.

  • If you would no longer like to receive promotional email from us, please refer to the “How can you opt-out, remove or modify information you have provided to us?” section below.

  • If you have not opted-in to receive email newsletters, you will not receive these emails.

  • 3rd party technology platforms and advertisers that support the running and growth of Blue Mind Mental Health Services

We require all third parties to whom we transfer your data to respect the security of your personal data and to treat it in accordance with the law. We only allow such third parties to process your personal data for specified purposes and in accordance with our instructions.

Marketing Communications

Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, we may send you marketing communications from us if (i) you made a purchase or asked for information from us about our goods or services or (ii) you agreed to receive marketing communications and in each case you have not opted out of receiving such communications since. Under these regulations, if you are a limited company, we may send you marketing emails without your consent. However you can still opt out of receiving marketing emails from us at any time. 

You can ask us or third parties to stop sending you marketing messages at any time simply by sending admin@bluemindmhs.com an email with your request to stop receiving emails.

If you opt out of receiving marketing communications this opt-out does not apply to personal data provided as a result of other transactions, such as purchases, warranty registrations etc.

 

Your Rights

You have the right to access or request copies of your personal health information, request corrections to inaccurate or incomplete information, withdraw or limit consent (with possible impact on services) or file a complaint with us or with the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario

How can you opt-out, remove or modify information you have provided?

To modify your email subscriptions, you can contact us at admin@bluemindmhs.com. Please note that due to email production schedules you may receive any emails already in production. Please note that we may maintain information about an individual sales transaction in order to service that transaction and for record keeping.

Third party links

In an attempt to provide you with increased value, we may include third party links on our site. These linked sites have separate and independent privacy policies. We, therefore, have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback about these linked sites (including if a specific link does not work).

Retention and Destruction

We retain your personal health records in accordance with legal and professional standards. In line with CRPO guidelines, records are stored for a minimum of 10 years after the last client interaction, or 10 years after a client turns 18, whichever is longer. After this period, records are securely destroyed or anonymized. For tax purposes the law requires us to keep basic information about our clients (including Contact, Identity, Financial and Transaction Data) for seven years after they stop being clients.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in legislation or practice and the most recent version will always be available on this page. This policy was last modified on June 30, 2025

Online privacy policy

This privacy policy refers only to information collected through our websites, and does not apply to information collected in person, at events, coaching calls or social media.
